Interview: First Look at RollerCoaster Tycoon World Gameplay

Gamers Nexus had a chance to interview Mattlab at PAX Prime, an executive producer from the game about the upcoming game; RollerCoaster Tycoon World. The next gen simulation theme park building game. They are looking at the features in sandbox mode during the interview to see what the game has to offer.

Building paths, changing terrain heights and making rides as realistic as possible. They also put different scenery/themes in the game but they only mentioned the western style in the interview.

Building Roller Coasters

In the interview they are showing us a small video about building a roller coaster within the game. With hotkeys you’ll be able to change the height of the track when you are building. The different roller coasters you can build are steel-, wooden-, inverted- and lodge coasters.


During this interview we get to see how the UI works within the game. It’s minimalistic with many options. I think this will be very easy to use for RCT fans and also new players to find their way within the game.


The team embraced modding within RollerCoaster Tycoon World to support content creators. They have the steam workshop integrated within the game and has a full unity modding support.
